Our Story

In 2000, Cathy, the owner of Pink Robin Bake Shop, took a cookie decorating class with her best friend that was life changing. Shortly after, she started making cookies for her kids’ teachers, coworkers, friends and family. Cathy also has taken cake decorating classes but prefers working with royal icing to create beautiful custom sugar cookies for all occasions.

Fast forward to 2011 when her coworkers encouraged her to start selling her cookies. Cathy researched the Michigan Cottage Food Law, and Cathy’s Custom Cookies & More was born. Along with a variety of custom treats, Cathy also started offering in-home decorating classes.

In 2013, Cathy was diagnosed with breast cancer and took a break from baking for a few months while going through treatment. In 2014, she wanted to start fresh. Pink has always been her favorite color, and robins signify a new beginning. So, Pink Robin Bake Shop was born! If you look closely, you can see a pink cancer ribbon incorporated into the logo.

Today, Pink Robin Bake Shop, LLC is located in Ferndale, Michigan. We specialize in sugar cookies but also make a variety of other tasty treats including cake pops, cookie kits, truffles, chocolate covered Oreos, pretzels, hot cocoa bombs, cakesicles, cookie cakes and more!
